BBC News - UK Suicide Bombers #$%$ Strike

Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda have so far failed to produce an agreement.

The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death would be cut by 25% this February from 72 to 54. A spokesman said increases in recent years in the number of suicide bombings has resulted in a shortage of virgins in the afterlife.

The suicide bombers' union, the British Organization of Occupational Martyrs ( B.O.O.M.) responded with a statement saying the move was unacceptable to its members and called for a strike vote. General Secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, "Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of Jihad. We don't ask for much in return but to be treated like this is like a kick in the teeth".
Speaking from his shed in Tipton in the West Midlands, Al Qaeda chief executive Haisheet Mapants explained, "I sympathize with our workers concerns but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands.

They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day Jihad in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity, there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It's a straight choice between reducing expenditures or laying people off. I don't like cutting benefits but I'd hate to have to tell 3,000 of my staff that they won't be able to blow themselves up.

Spokespersons for the union in the North East of England, Ireland, Wales and the entire Australian continent stated that the change would not hurt their membership as there are so few virgins in their areas anyway.

According to some industry sources, the recent drop in the number of suicide bombings has been attributed to the emergence of Scottish singing star, Susan Boyle.
Many Muslim Jihadists now know what a virgin looks like and have reconsidered their benefit packages.

Judge expresses doubt about constitutionality of no-fly list

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — A federal judge expressed skepticism Friday about the constitutionality of the government's no-fly list, suggesting that those who find themselves on it ought to be allowed a meaningful opportunity to clear their names.

As of now-there is no meaningful appeal for anyone placed on the no fly list,just like there's no relief from weapons disability at the fed level for those who made a mistake 10,15,20,30years ago to get their second amendment rights restored-which should never have been taken away in most cases.
This case will hopefully be decided for the appellant,and the courts will stop this massive overreach by the federal government.
No way in hell is the no-fly list Constitutional-it's a secret government list of "enemies",in the past young children have been placed on the list,and the late Sen. Kennedy was placed on the list at one time.
The list is a clear violation of the fourth amendment-among the many other things that are wrong with the list.

Determined not to let a thus-far deliberately indifferent Congress ignore the wider implications of “fraud upon the court” by Department of Justice lawyers in his case, retired ATF Agent Jay Dobyns has prepared a list of 21 questions lawmakers should ask of Attorney General Eric Holder and ATF Director B. Todd Jones. He posted the queries, along with links to media accounts, on his website Friday, and mirrored it to elicit support from forum members on CleanUpATF, the site that first posted allegations of “walked” guns from Operation Fast and Furious being found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
“Congress doesn’t need to hold hearings on this,” Dobyns maintains. “They simply need to draft a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and ATF Director B. Todd Jones demanding truthful and complete answers. This is all it will take. If the AG and Holder will answer honestly, this will be soon be resolved for good.”

BREAKING: New NYPD Policy To Patrol Protests With Machine Guns

(ANTIMEDIA) NEW YORK, NY- NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton announced Thursday that 350 heavily armed NYPD officers, called the “Strategic Response Group,” will soon be patrolling protests and the city at large.
He said the new strain of hyper-armed police will be
“…equipped and trained in ways that our normal patrol officers are not. They’ll be equipped with all the extra heavy protective gear, with the long rifles and machine guns — unfortunately sometimes necessary in these instances.”
Bratton announced  their purpose is specifically
“…designed for dealing with events like our recent protests, or incidents like Mumbai or what just happened in Paris.”
Lumping protesters in with terrorists, he said the permanent force will deal with “disorder control and counterterrorism protection capabilities.” It will allegedly assist on crime scenes and help with “crowd control and other large-scale events.”
It is not unusual for authorities to ramp up “security” efforts following attacks (such as the ax attack against officers in October), but the idea of machine-gun clad officers is disturbing, especially considering past NYPD abuses of protesters and other residents.
The federal government, which has attempted to feign concern with police brutality, is partially funding the militarized venture. The Department of Homeland Security is supplying resources, as is the city of New York. The Pentagon has previously provided machine guns, ammuniton, and other military gear to New York police and other local cops around the country.
The program is set to begin with two precincts in Queens and two in Manhattan, though Bratton did not specify when. During the announcement at a Police Foundation breakfast at the Mandarin Hotel, Bratton also said his plan was backed by both Mayor Bill de Blasio (who came under fire from cops last year) and the city council.
He said the effort is intended to improve police relations with communities since “regular” police will no longer be called from their local precincts to deal with protests and alleged security threats:
“For years we’ve been asking our officers to engage in the community, but we’ve never given them time to do it, or the training.”
Such “crises” will now be handled by the machine gunning cops (machine guns are banned for private citizens). Bratton has also previously asked the city for more tasers to “improve relations” by reducing fatal shootings.
In his Thursday announcement, Bratton additionally called on the MTA to install cameras on all subways-for safety, of course.
Unsurprisingly, there is outrage against the proposed plan. Priscilla Gonzalez, Organizing Director of Communities United for Police Reform, said Bratton’s
“…demands for less oversight of the NYPD and a more militarized police force that would use counter-terrorism tactics against protesters are deeply misguided and frankly offensive. We need an NYPD that is more accountable to New Yorkers and that stops criminalizing our communities, especially when people are taking to the streets to voice legitimate concerns about discriminatory and abusive policing. Despite growing evidence that discriminatory broken windows is a failed and harmful policing strategy, Commissioner Bratton stubbornly continues to defend and expand it.”
The move comes as crime has dropped in New York and the police ticket-writing boycott in protest of Mayor de Blasio led to no increase in conflict.

Facets of federal government have isolated themselves from the public they serve. They covet and withhold public information that we, as citizens, own. They bully and threaten access of journalists who do their jobs, news organizations that publish stories they don’t like and whistleblowers who dare to tell the truth.
When I reported on factual contradictions in the administration’s accounts regarding Fast and Furious, pushback included a frenzied campaign with White House officials trying to chill the reporting by calling and emailing my superiors and colleagues, and using surrogate bloggers to advance false claims. One White House official got so mad, he angrily cussed me out.
The Justice Department used its authority over building security to handpick reporters allowed to attend a Fast and Furious briefing, refusing to clear me into the public Justice Department building.
Advocates had to file a lawsuit to obtain public information about Fast and Furious improperly withheld under executive privilege. Documents recently released show emails in which taxpayer paid White House and Justice Department press officials complained that I was “out of control,” and vowed to call my bosses to try to stop my reporting.
Let me emphasize that my reporting was factually indisputable. Government officials weren’t angry because I was doing my job poorly. They were panicked because I was doing my job well.

The White House made good on its threat to punish C-SPAN afterC-SPAN dared to defy a White House demand to delay airing a potentially embarrassing interview with the President.
Fifty news organizations, including CBS and the Washington Post wrote the White House objecting to unprecedented restrictions on the press that raise constitutional concerns.
A New York Times photographer likened White House practices to the Soviet news agency Tass.
Former Washington Post executive editor Len Downie called the Obama War on Leaks “by far the most aggressive” he’s seen since Nixon.
David Sanger of the New York Times called this “the most closed, control freak administration” he’s ever covered.
New York Times public editor Margaret Sullivan said it’s “the administration of unprecedented secrecy and unprecedented attacks on a free press.”
ABC News correspondent Ann Compton calledObama “the least transparent of the seven presidents” she’s covered.

Michigan Coyotes Take Down Horse

And people think I’m making the shit up about coyotes killing adult deer,and being the reason for decline in deer herd numbers in multiple states…
The Lapeer County, Michigan Sheriff’s Mounted Unit announced on Sunday that one of their horses died as a result of a predatory coyote attack over the weekend. The horse’s owner, Lapeer County Sheriff Deputy Kallie Meyers, had been keeping the animal in a paddock near a barn on her property. On Sunday afternoon, a pack of five to six coyotes charged onto Meyers’ property and managed to bring the mare down before the owners were able to intervene by releasing their dogs on the predators.
Meyers’ dogs were eventually able to chase the pack off the property, but the horse’s injuries from the attack were too severe and it had to be put down.
“They came in the yard to get our horse,” Bruce Meyers wrote on Facebook. “Within 70 feet of the house. Our dogs went to help, managed to chase them off but one dog is chewed up, others have only a few scratches and minor punctures.”
It was not the first time that the predators have encroached upon the Meyers’ farm in Oxford Township. Kallie Meyers explained that coyotes have killed several farm animals on her property in the past.
Reports of coyotes attacking large animals in broad daylight are troubling to biologists. Coyotes are known for being shy around humans, and usually limit their hunts to smaller animals at night. In Michigan, it is legal to shoot or trap coyotes year-round on private property and there is no bag limit during regular seasons. Wildlife experts noted that humans and larger animals usually have very little to fear from coyotes.

Really? The same biologists who have done studies that confirm eastern coyotes have a considerable amount of wolf DNA are now finding it “troubling” that packs of ‘yotes are killing large animals? I wonder how “troubling” they are going to find it when the population of our deer herds crash? Or when the first young child is attacked by a pack of ‘yotes?
I’ve made multiple posts asking deer hunters
to start shooting yotes,and letting them know that they will see fewer and fewer deer until the ‘yote population is seriously reduced. The only good thing I’ve noticed since the ‘yote population exploded in NE Ohio is that the feral cat population had been reduced-which is a plus-as NE Ohio deer have been found to be carrying the organism that causes toxoplasmosis-which can ONLY be spread by cat feces,less cat shit in the woods is always a plus,along with less of a chance of getting toxoplasmosis.
Since the wildlife biologists and the DNR/state fish and game agencies
in Michigan,Ohio,Illinois,Indiana,Pa,and W.Va. don’t seem to believe that the ‘yotes are the reason for the decline in deer numbers,and do not seem to believe that ‘yotes are killing up to 7 out of every 10 fawns in many areas-it’s up to deer hunters to get the ‘yote population under control.
Most states have either no limit or very liberal limits on the number of ‘yotes you can shoot.
Fur prices are up this year,so you can more than cover your expenses-including ammo,food and gas.
The fewer ‘yotes there are in May-the more fawns that survive-now’s the time to start reducing the ‘yote population-the state fish and game agencies ain’t gonna help do it-so anyone who wants to see the deer numbers stop the decline-get out there and start takin out ‘yotes-as many as possible.

Why the Washington State Gun Rights Fight is YOUR Fight

Readers of PHS lately have seen a lot of articles about the ongoing gun rights fight here in WA.  You might think it doesn’t apply to you because you don’t live here in the Pacific Northwest.  You would be so very wrong; what we are fighting here in our state is coming to yours.  For some of you, it’s already there.  You might think that us fighting over taking open carry firearms into the state legislature viewing galleries is a stupid argument and one that you don’t care about.   Again, you’d be wrong.  If you’re an American who values freedom, you should care very much about what’s going on here in Washington…regardless of where you live.
One of the questions we keep hearing here about the ban on open carry in the legislative galleries is “What’s the big deal?  So you can’t bring your rifle into the gallery.  Why do you even NEED to?”  Even those who claim to support the Second Amendment say these things; almost as if we need to ensure that the exercise of our rights is only done 1) in areas where no one can possibly see and be afraid of us, and 2) if we demonstrate that we have a “need” to exercise it there, at that time and in that fashion.
The problem with this school of thought is inherent, and shows a basic misunderstanding of what rights are.  Rights can be exercised at any time, for any reason, without first having to prove a “need” or justification for their exercise.  In fact, as I’ve discussed here before, the second that you allow the infringement of your rights because of someone else’s fear or offense, you’ve handed them the key to take ALL of your rights.
In the case of the State House and Senate, they are “reinterpreting” existing rules about ‘props’, such as signs, buttons, or other things generally used in a demonstration being banned from the gallery.  They have decided that firearms are now props.  Make no mistake—firearms are not props.
One person, while explaining to me why these rules should be enforced, said that “The galleries are a place to observe government, not protest government.”  The Declaration of Independence disagrees.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. [emphasis added]
The Washington State Constitution also weighs in with its first sentence:
All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.
At no time in either document does it say that the government grants these rights; they are inherent.  It is the government’s job to protect and maintain these rights, not infringe upon them or find creative ways to strip them away.  If the government only derives its power from the consent of the governed, in whom all political power resides, and if the entire purpose of government’s existence is to protect and maintain those inherent rights, then the only possible course of action is for the government and its agents to stand down in this matter.  In short, they have absolutely no right to tell the citizens they cannot view the proceedings of their own government while armed.  They have no power to dictate the exercise of the citizens’ rights…period.
Legislators have decided that openly carried firearms are not arms, protected by the Second Amendment.  Instead, they have been reclassified as props—which, by the way, are also protected, just under the First Amendment instead.  Seemingly, it does not matter if the firearm in question is loaded or not; according to their rules, a loaded and holstered handgun carried on a man’s hip is still a prop.  At what point, pray tell, does the legislature consider it arms, protected by the Second Amendment?  This is another example of “Yes, but.”  Yes, the Second Amendment of the Constitution protects your right to bear arms, and so does the Washington State Constitution, but… we’ve decided that you can’t exercise that right here in the Capitol while viewing the proceedings of your own government, which exists to protect that exact right you’re trying to exercise.
The real irony comes when you do go ahead and load that firearm.  It is still considered a prop, but now you’re also looked at as a threat.  It’s supposedly still not protected under the Second Amendment, according to these people, but it’s a threat.  They are afraid of you, because you are openly carrying a firearm, I mean, a prop.

Ohio Deer Harvest Totals as of 1/28/2015-ODNR's Manipulated Data

 Statewide the harvest is only down 8% or so,but that is misleading,as some counties with low deer populations are showing almost a 50% increase-while some counties with high deer populations are showing a 20% or greater decrease.
The total harvest isn't that far off,but some of the counties that have been consistently in the top 10 for total deer harvest are the ones showing the biggest drops in harvest numbers.

Such as-
Wood county shows a 47.7% increase in deer harvest-the total number of deer harvested in 2013-14 was 717.
Total for 2014-14 is 1,059 That 47.7% increase is a difference of 342 deer.

Guernsey county shows a 21.94% decrease. 2013-14 total was 5,259.
Total for 2014-15 is 4,105 that 21.94% decrease is a difference of  1,154 deer.

See the problem?  The DNR is counting 342 deer as a 47.7% increase while counting a decrease of 1,154 deer as only a 21.94% decrease.

Looking at the comparison data-almost all the counties that show increases are the counties with very low harvests,which represent very few deer,while to counties showing decreases are almost all counties that traditionally have had high harvests.

Presenting the data this way is the ODNR manipulating the numbers to hide the overall decline in the deer herd's numbers.

DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver would like the public’s help locating a suspect in an aggravated robbery and shooting.
According to police, the suspect in the crime has been identified as Zachary Bowyer, 21, who is only known to some people by the name “Baby Obama.”
The robbery occurred on Dec. 22. No other details were released.
Bowyer should be considered armed and dangerous.

DSM-5 – Psychiatric manual targets internet users as mentally ill, grounds for gun confiscation

No matter how many threats the left makes about taking our guns from us, our Constitution guarantees us the right to bear arms, much to their chagrin. But Obama and his communist regime will stop at nothing to do just that. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, or DSM-5, which was published in 2013, targets certain internet users as mentally ill – allowing gun confiscation.
Many practitioners point out that the new DSM-5 also makes a pathology out of simple and normal behaviors such as grieving for the loss of a loved one, as the bereavement exclusion was removed in this version of the manual.
Targeting free speech
This constitutes a  subjective approach in diagnosing of mental illness in that it promises to end free speech and any form of political dissent. The federal government has already declared anyone who opposes its unconstitutional policies as having “political paranoia,” which is now diagnosed as a type of mental illness. So if you disagree with the corruption, subversiveness, and lawlessness of Obama and his cabal, you deserve a straight jacket, and it is, once again, grounds for taking your guns. Vague criteria
If someone is judged, by some vague set of criteria, to spend too much time on the internet, they could be judged to be mentally ill and ineligible to own a gun. The alternative media, which is a fancy way to say conservative media like Uncle Sam’s Misguided  Children, is predicated on internet readership and listeners.
Gun ownership
These groups would be among the first groups to oppose a martial law crackdown, and now they are the first to be targeted. This is a backdoor method to disarm citizens who would oppose the abject tyranny being imposed upon America. And these facts sum up what is truly behind the Obama administration’s latest attack upon gun ownership because they want to prey upon the citizens of this nation by disarming as many of us as possible.
And if you thought it would be any different with some other leftist in power, VP Biden feels that they can violate HIPAA privacy regulations in requiring the states to report who has been treated for a mental illness. Therefore, in the name of confiscating your gun, this administration thinks it is acceptable to violate federal privacy laws.
In the eyes of the Obama administration, all mental illnesses are created equal. A person with a phobia is just as dangerous as a sociopath. One in six Americans have a “diagnosable anxiety disorder.” Under the new proposed guidelines, all of these people would be ineligible to have a gun, even though there is not a shred of research which indicates this population would be inclined towards gun violence any more than any other population.

But it doesn’t stop at internet users. The Statistical and Diagnostic Manual (DSM-4r) defined Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) as a highly controversial mental illness used to describe children and teens as mentally ill if they exhibited disobedience and defiance.
Most practitioners do not take this diagnosis seriously and mistakenly believed that it would fade away because defiance and oppositional behaviors are hallmark traits of healthy rebellion exhibited by children and teens as they seek independence.

There are many things we have to fight within our own government, but this is one of the scariest things I have come across. Not only will they use this as a way to disarm us, but what will come next? Will they use it as an excuse to lock people away? Speak out against your government and it suddenly becomes grounds for incarceration. This is the most blatant attempt to strip us of our 1st and 2nd amendment rights I have seen yet. We, as a free people, had better start doing something to ensure our freedoms before Obama and his evil regime take them all away from us.

New NSSF Report: More Women Owning Guns, Going Target Shooting and Hunting

More than half of women (55.6 percent) participating in a new study commissioned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation said they intend to purchase at least one firearm in the next 12 months. That finding and many others reflect the growing popularity of firearms ownership by women, who represent the fastest growing segment of the shooting sports.
[D]uring the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show), NSSF President and CEO Steve Sanetti discussed the findings in the new report, "Women Gun Owners: Purchasing, Perceptions and Participation." NSSF, which owns the SHOT Show, is the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry.
"In the past decade, the number of women owning firearms and participating in target shooting and hunting has soared. This study helps us understand why women are choosing to purchase firearms and accessories and what shooting activities appeal to them most," said Sanetti.
The study, conducted in 2014, focused on women ages 18 to 65 who owned at least one firearm. Over a third of women in the study were new gun owners, having purchased their first firearm within the last three years. This group of new gun owners, who are primarily between the ages of 18 and 34, reflects the changing demographics among women choosing to own firearms-a change captured visually in NSSF's new infographic, "Girl Power," which complements the new report.
"The women's market is a force in our industry, and manufacturers, retailers and shooting ranges are making changes to their products and services to satisfy women's tastes and needs. This report will assist anyone interested in knowing more about women's enthusiasm for and attitudes toward firearms," said Jim Curcuruto, NSSF Director of Industry Research and Analysis.
Among the report's findings:
  • The most commonly owned firearm by women in the study is a semiautomatic pistol, with 56 percent of women reporting they owned at least one. Shotguns ranked second, with 50 percent of women owning at least one.
  • Women say their purchases are mainly influenced by Fit, Quality and Practicality.
  • Women purchasing a gun in the last 12 months spent on average $870 on firearms and more than $400 on accessories.
  • The majority of women report they are not driven to buy a gun on impulse but rather considered their purchase for months before deciding.
  • Nearly all women (95 percent) have tried target shooting, and more than half (58 percent) have hunted.
  • More than 42 percent of women have a concealed carry permit for their state of residence.
  • Nearly three-quarters (73 percent) of women reported having taken at least one training class.
Placing a premium on safety, women say the single most important reason why they decided to purchase or own a firearm is protection-both personal and home protection. Learning to hunt and going shooting with friends and family were also cited.
The report shows women are attracted to shooting activities such as practical pistol, clay target shooting, long-range shooting and plinking; they were not as active, however, in gun collecting or 3-gun and cowboy action shooting.
Growth of the women's market is quite visible among firearms retailers. In NSSF's Annual Retailer Survey, more than 74 percent of retailers reported an increase in women customers in their stores in 2013 over 2012.
According to the National Sporting Goods Association, female engagement in target shooting grew 60 percent to 5.4 million participants between 2001 and 2013, and was up 85 percent for hunting to 3.3 million participants during that same period.

Blomberg's Moms Attack Gun Rights in Another State on Their Hit List

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — Fresh off a victory in Washington state, a leading gun control group backed by billionaire Michael Bloomberg is hoping to make Oregon its next prize in a campaign to require gun sales to go through universal background checks.
Everytown for Gun Safety backed a voter-approved initiative in Washington last year that made the state the 17th in the country to expand background checks past the federal standard applying only to licensed gun dealers.

"This is our top priority," said the group's spokeswoman Erika Soto Lamb.
The organization came out of a merger last year between Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns, and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. It has been spending tens of millions of dollars on political operations.
Now its attention is on Oregon, where the state Legislature narrowly failed to pass legislation two years running to require background checks for private gun sales.
According to state records, Everytown spent nearly $600,000 on the 2014 election — $450,000 in contributions to candidates and committees, and $110,000 on other grassroots efforts.
Part of that was devoted to strengthening the Democratic majority in the state Senate, the key battleground.
Democrats ended up expanding their majority by two seats to 18-12 in the Senate. The party holds a stronger majority in the House. Gov. John Kitzhaber, a Democrat, is a longtime supporter and is expected to sign the bill if it passes.
"There's a loophole there that can be closed," said Lamb.
Oregon voters extended background checks to require them for sales at gun shows in 2000.
Senate Judiciary Chairman Sen. Floyd Prozanski, D-Eugene, plans to introduce legislation to expand that to private gun sales. The bill would require anyone selling a gun privately to call state police for a background check on criminal history and mental illness. It would exclude sales among family members, inheritances and antique guns.
"I want to put closure on the only loophole we have on the background check law," said Prozanksi, a native Texan who owns a few guns. "Most all of us gun owners, as well as the general public, believe we should take reasonable steps to stop felons from getting easy access to guns. This will do that."
Opponents include Democratic state Sen. Betsy Johnson of Scappoose and the National Rifle Association.
"The NRA is not privy to the specifics of the legislation, but Oregonians should not be fooled by the rhetoric from out of state gun control groups funded by New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg," NRA spokeswoman Jennifer Baker said in a statement. "They are pushing an extreme anti-gun agenda that seeks to curtail Oregonians' constitutional right to self-defense."
Under federal law, background checks through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System are required for sales by licensed gun dealers, but not at gun shows or private transactions. The checks target convicted felons, people under indictment, the mentally ill, drug users, people under restraining orders, dishonorably discharged veterans and people in the country illegally. But not all states report mental health records to the system.
About 40 percent of Oregon households have guns. And the state has had its share of horrifying shootings.
In 1998, Kip Kinkel went to his high school in Springfield with guns his parents bought to teach him to shoot. He opened fire on the cafeteria, killing two and wounding 25.
In 2012, three days before the deadly Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting, Jacob Tyler Roberts took a stolen semi-automatic AR-15 rifle to the Clackamas Town Center mall outside Portland, where he killed two people and wounded one before killing himself.
Last June, high school freshman Jared Michael Padgett took his brother's assault-style rifle to school. He killed a student and wounded a teacher before killing himself.
None of those shootings would have been stopped by background checks, said Johnson, the key opponent of last year's bill.
"It puts law abiding citizens at a significant disadvantage," she said. "And it does not touch the problem, which in most cases involves severely mentally ill, disaffected, alienated young people causing mayhem."


These people will never,ever stop-unless we allow them to attain their goal of a complete ban on all civilian ownership of firearms.
They are going to keep doing this shit state by state,and every state that they succeed in passing "universal background checks" and/or "safe storage" laws,CAP laws,banning "assault rifles" and on and on-we will have no gun rights.

DENVER (Reuters) – A young woman suspected of driving a stolen car filled with teenage passengers was shot dead by Denver police on Monday after she struck an officer with the vehicle as he approached on foot, authorities said.
Denver Police Chief Robert White told reporters that there were five very young people inside the car when the shooting occurred, and the person who was fatally shot “appeared to be a teenager.”
Her name and age were not immediately released.
White said the incident began when an officer responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in an alley in the city’s Park Hill neighborhood.
The first officer on scene ran the plates on the car and was told it was stolen and called for back-up, White said. A second officer then arrived and when the pair approached the vehicle, the driver hit one of the officers with the car.
“Both officers fired several shots” at the driver, White said, and the person who was shot was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The chief said the officer who was struck suffered a possible broken leg and was expected to recover.

4 charged after Minnesota DNR poaching probe yields dozens of guns, 28 deer antler sets.

After years of investigation by conservation officials, four men have been charged for their roles in widespread illegal killing of trophy deer and other big game in western Minnesota.

The five-year probe by the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) led to the seizure of dozens of guns, some of them high-powered rifles, and more than two dozen sets of deer and elk antlers, the agency announced Tuesday.

The DNR’s Capt. Cory Palmer said he’s never seen such an extreme case of poaching in his 17 years with the agency.
“This is taking away from hunters and people who just want to watch deer,” said Palmer, himself a deer hunter."


Charged last week with the bulk of the counts in Lac qui Parle County District Court was Joshua Liebl, 37, of Dawson, Minn. Under a multistate enforcement compact, Liebl lost his hunting privileges in Minnesota in 2013 because of a shining conviction in South Dakota.
Liebl faces gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges that include transporting illegally taken big game, using artificial light while hunting, hunting at a prohibited time, trespassing and failure to register deer.
Palmer said there are no felony charges for what Liebl is accused of doing. If convicted, Palmer added, Liebl faces several years of losing his license along with fines and restitution.
On Oct. 21, officials seized at Liebl’s home 37 guns, 28 sets of deer antlers (most of trophy quality), four sets of elk antlers, a set of mule deer antlers and a fully intact piebald deer in the freezer. Piebald deer are known for their large white and darker-colored patches.
DNR Lt. Gary Nordseth said that Liebl has registered no more than four deer since 2004.
Authorities said they also pulled over Liebl near his home in a pickup truck as the confiscations were underway. In back of the truck was a freshly killed eight-point whitetail buck, which investigators determined was killed with a high-powered rifle.


Also seized from the truck were a scoped rifle, a shotgun, rounds of ammunition and a spotlight. The truck is now destined for the auction block, with proceeds going to the DNR’s Game and Fish Fund.
Dustin Shourds, the regional director for the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association in Montevideo, said “everybody heard rumors about” Liebl “at the barbershop and that kind of thing. When it all came down, it was quite a shock.”
Also charged with gross misdemeanors or misdemeanors in connection with the case were:
Kevin J. Martinson, 58, of Plymouth, accused of illegally lending or borrowing a deer license.
Nathan J. Viessman, 32, of Watson, Minn., accused of illegal party hunting, lending or borrowing a deer license, exceeding the limit of deer taken and failure to register deer.
Daniel J. Lien, 33, of Dawson, a passenger in Liebl’s truck when it was stopped, accused of aiding and abetting unlawful transportation of big game.

Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact

The Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact is an agreement that recognizes suspension of hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses in member states. This means that illegal activities in one state can affect a person’s hunting or fishing privileges in all participating states. Any person whose license privileges or rights are suspended in a member state may also be suspended in Ohio. If a person's hunting, fishing, or trapping rights are suspended in Ohio, they may be suspended in member states as well. This cooperative interstate effort will enhance the Division of Wildlife’s ability to protect and manage our wildlife resources.
The Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact also establishes a process whereby wildlife law violations by a non-resident from a member state are handled as if the person were a resident, meaning they can be served a ticket rather than being arrested, booked, and bonded. This process is a convenience for hunters, fishermen, and trappers of member states, and increases efficiency of Wildlife Officers by allowing more time for enforcement duties rather than violator processing procedures.
If a person plans to hunt, fish, or trap in another state, and they have a license suspension in Ohio, it is their responsibility to contact the other state to see if they can legally hunt, fish, or trap there.

2015 Fur Price Outlook Not Bad After First Big Auction Results of the Year

It was doom and gloom for trappers this time last year after the bottom fell out of the market.  Prices were rumored to be going back to basement levels of 20 years ago following the resurgence of the past couple of years.  Well, after the January 7th FHA auction, the prices were not that bad.
A lot of raccoon still went unsold, but the Eastern average was still over 10 dollars.  Muskrat averages stayed with coon prices with around a 10 dollar average as well. Red Fox did very well, with prices looking more like last years highs.

The big story now is the resurgence of the coyote.  Even Eastern coyotes that were not much better than possum prices the past few years, are looking good.  Western coyotes are always in demand, but keep a close eye on their “uglier” Eastern cousins over the next few FHA ( Fur Harvesters of American ) and NAFA ( North American Fur Auctions ) auctions.

So, the doom and gloom of the Chinese pullout of the fur market was much to do about nothing.  This was an off year for prices, but if things keep the way they are going and we get these unsold raccoons taken care of, then the market outlook for next year may not be half bad.

Judge alleges ‘fraud on the court’ by government attorneys in Dobyns case

Commenting on revelations about Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Department of Justice (DOJ) actions in the case of retired agent Jay Dobyns against his former employer, attorney David Hardy equated them with “a BATF and DOJ Watergate... or worse,” Friday. Noting that actions taken over a civil lawsuit evidently have included concealing evidence, secret threats against witnesses, and surveillance of attorneys and witnesses, the new information lends further credence to Dobyns’ allegations and appears to show government lawyers engaged in a criminal conspiracy.
“For people like me, who have sympathized with Dobyns but tried to reserve judgment about his case, the documents push us further into the retired agent’s camp,” Tim Steller of the Arizona Daily Star admitted. “You can’t read the few filings that have been unsealed in the case without wondering why the Justice Department is going to such extremes and spending so much on what is, at base, a relatively minor contractual dispute that could have ended years ago.”


“I said all along they were cheating,” Dobyns advised readers of his website in a Friday post. “Everyone was like, ‘sour grapes, disgruntled agent, whiny narcissist, etc. ... Just a fraction of the dirty games ATF and DOJ played on me are coming out. Reporters are finding it all on their own with no prompting from me. This is only the portion of what Judge Allegra has unsealed and allowed to be exposed. More and better dirt on these people is coming.”
“Everyone who has read this and called Jay their friend, and probably enjoyed his generosity over the years needs to take the five minutes it will take to write a letter, and send it certified mail to Sen. Charles Grassley and newly appointed House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz DEMANDING DOJ answer for this,” Dobyns’ friend, colleague and fellow whistleblower Vince Cefalu told members of the CleanUpATF forum. That’s the website formed by bureau insiders fed up with waste, abuse, corruption and fraud, and the place where revelations of Fast and Furious guns being found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry were first made.
 
 These latest developments, along with revelations about ATF “sting” scandals in Milwaukee, Wichita, Portland and Pensacola, call into question the very justification for confirming B. Todd Jones as permanent director after a string of acting bureau heads. But before extrapolating that to engage in further speculation, the next developments in Judge Allegra’s court, as well as the reaction, if any, from Sen. Grassley and Rep. Chaffetz to these latest revelations, will provide the best window into who in the government knew and did what, and how high it has gone.

Rattlesnake Logic...

After the Boston bombing the news media spent days and weeks trying to determine why these men did what they did. They want to know what America did (!) to make these brothers so angry with us. They want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something so terrible. The media is in a tizzy about this new era of homegrown radicals and about why and how they can live among us and still hate us.

 

A friend of mine from Texas explained it all to me:  "Here in west Texas, I have rattlesnakes on my place, living among us. I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch. I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch. I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway. In fact, I kill every rattlesnake I encounter.

 

I kill rattlesnakes because I know a rattlesnake will bite me and inject me with poison. I don't stop to wonder WHY a rattlesnake will bite me; I know it WILL bite me because it's a rattlesnake and that's what rattlesnakes do. I don't try to reason with a rattlesnake or have a "meaningful dialogue" with it…I just kill it. I don't try to get to know the rattlesnake better so I can find a way to live with the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me. I just kill them. I don't quiz a rattlesnake to see if I can find out where the other snakes are, because (a) it won't tell me and (b) I already know they live on my place. So, I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one.

 

I don't look for ways I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake...I just kill it. Oh, and on occasion, I accidentally kill a rat snake because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time. Also, I know for every rattlesnake I kill, two more are lurking out there in the brush. In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my place of rattlesnakes.

 

Do I fear them? Not really. Do I respect what they can do to me and my family? Yes!! And because of that respect, I give them the fair justice they deserve...I kill them. As a country, we should start giving more thought to the fact that these jihadists' are telling the world their goal is to kill Americans and destroy our way of life. They have  posted two graphic videos on the internet showing them beheading Americans. They are serious. They are exactly like rattlesnakes. It is high time for us to start acting accordingly!"

 

I love this country. It's the damn government I'm afraid of!
