Reading for the Holiday Weekend

Ideas wanted

Someone brought up the idea of creating a pamphlet,or leaflet type thing that we in the III%/preppper/survivalist/patriot community could hand out to people to let them know we are not a bunch of crazies, and that training and prepping are just common sense.
Anyone who has any ideas for a pamphlet/leaflet please either comment here,or e-mail me at

.gov trying to recruit snitches...

 From Prepperknowhow...

"“If you see it, say it!”

When I go to work I always hear the words “If you see it, say it!”.  Over the years this has become part of the background and I don’t think about it.  With the threats  and actions coming out of ISIS it has taken on a new meaning.  I tend to think members of ISIS must have crawled out from under a rock, the fact that one of  James Foley’s executioners had a British accent was shocking to me. It says to me that ISIS is not confined to the Middle East.  So should you see anything suspicious report it.  This guidance is directly from a Department of Homeland Security  sheet.  Quote:
“If you see it, say it!”
It can be difficult to determine when to report something suspicious. People most familiar with a given environment are in the best position to determine whether or not something is out of the ordinary. Use common sense, and follow these guidelines:
• Trust your instincts; if something feels wrong, don’t ignore it.
• Do not assume that someone else has already reported it.
• Call local authorities.
• Keep your distance from a suspicious package—do not approach or tamper with it.
When you make a report, be ready to provide your name, your location, a description of what you think is suspicious, and the time you saw it. The responding officer will assess the situation, ensure the area is evacuated and call for appropriate personnel and equipment. Technologies used to assess whether a package contains explosive material may include portable x-ray systems or bomb disposal robots."

The “if you see it say it” that DHS is promoting would be fine if they didn’t consider returning Iraq/Afghanistan vets, preppers,III%ers, militia members, anyone who buys ammo and/or survival supplies with cash to be “domestic terrorists”.
The problem with this program is that DHS wants you to tell them who is a “prepper”,who is a “survivalist”,who is a recently returned vet that’s buying ammo, who is taking courses that train them in firearms use,who is taking a land navigation course, who is taking combat lifesaver/EMT courses-and on and on.
DHS does not differentiate between actual terrorists, and those of us who know damn well that the government/FEMA/DHS/Police/national Guard, etc are simply NOT going to ‘save us” or “protect us” if and/or when there is a major disaster,or any type of SHTF event, and intend to rely on ourselves, and our “tribe” rather than any .gov agency.
We are categorized the same as foreign terrorists such as ISIS.
DHS has never, not once prevented an act of terrorism in the U.S. nor has the TSA.
These fed agencies want people to be dependent on them in any crises, and just blindly accept whatever the DHS/FEMA/police/National Guard troops tell them to do.
What they do not want is for us to take care of ourselves-it’s all about control.

What do you think?
 Rely on .gov?
Rely on yourself and your tribe?

The latest post on hunting from

Be sure to check out the series of hunting articles on Starvin Larry's blog, along with the same stuff I write about here.

new level of stupidity

This genius had his booking photo taken in a t-shirt that has a pic of his previous mugshot-he's reached  a new height of stupidity.
Getting arrested for DUI is supposed to be something to be proud of?

More anti-hunting lies and propaganda from HSUS

HSUS has filed a 50 page brief full of lies,half-truths,and obfuscation regarding lead ammo used by hunters.
None of it is backed up by actual published, peer reviewed scientific papers-only the drivel writel by fellow animal "rights" extremists and enviro-nazis.

My response to idiotic anti-gun drivel on HuffPo

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we have the right to bear arms per the Second Amendment, but that was signed into law way before assault rifles were even a glimmer on the horizon. We are at an impasse in our country, society and culture, and must find a way to resolution."

Yeah, yeah, yeah,we have  the right to free speech per the second amendment, but that was signed into law way before computers and the internet were even a glimmer on the horizon.

No "we" are not at an "impasse"-anti-gun zealots who want to deny people their second amendment rights due to the actions of a few mentally ill individuals-are the ones who are at an "impasse".

I'll give up my modern firearms just as soon as the internet is shut down, all computers are banned, and everyone has to write via an ink well and a quill pen.

Because, you know, the founders could never have envisioned the internet, and the first amendment should only apply to inkwells and quill pens.

This has to be the single most idiotic anti-gun drivel produced by the left so far this year.

Someone please help educate these clueless dolts-please.

Ferguson protester

I fully agree-so should anyone who cares about our rights being slowly taken away by the government, courts, and police, the latter now resembles the Gestapo more than police officers who are supposed to protect and serve.

This is my first post on this blog. I'm trying to expand readership beyond comments on forums that use Disqus for comments, and letters to the editor of the local newspapers.

I'll be writing about hunting, fishing, survival, gun rights, prepping, and training to become proficient in using firearms and other means to defend your home, property, and neighborhood.

Any city in the US can explode into violence like Ferguson at any time,on any day of the week.
We all need to be prepared to survive such a situation, and be able to protect our homes, families, and neighborhoods from looters and rioters-and any other natural or man-made disaster that could take place.

There's a very good possibility that we could be facing a long period of "civil unrest" in the U.S. very soon. Not everyone has the option to go to a retreat that's easily defended, well stocked with supplies, and far enough from the big cities that we can just "bug out" and return when things have calmed down. Many of us have no choice but to stay where we are.

I intend to provide people with the information needed to be able to survive a long period of "civil unrest" or any SHTF situation,or the imposition of martial law,or government attempts to confiscate firearms-or any other such blatant violation of our rights.

Whether you want to be a part of any "civil unrest" or not is not up to you-when it happens-it will affect you. Whether or not you survive such a situation is up to you,and it depends 100% on whether or not you are prepared to survive it.
You need to start stockpiling food, water, medical supplies, guns and ammo, clothing for the outdoors in the climate you live in,and have a means to provide power when the grid goes down.
You also need to be in the best physical shape you can be in-if you are not actively exercising regularly-start now.
If you do not have extra food stocked up-start stocking up food now-today.
Start reading up on storing food.
Start target practicing with all of your firearms now,if you are not shooting regularly already.
Try to find others who also are interested in being prepared and being able to survive a long term SHTF scenario-if you haven't already.
You will not survive such a situation alone-you need a group of like-minded people-get your group together now, find out who has what skills that will be needed, find people who have any skills those in your group are lacking.
