Takes a hell of a lot of balls-or an act of desperation-for this admin to demand transparency from anyone.
In the midst of the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation of
Missouri's Ferguson Police Department, ordered by the soon-to-be-retired
Attorney General Eric Holder, on Sunday some news organizations
ran headlines that suggested a new controversy came to light: That the
police attempted to restrict air traffic during the days and nights of
civil unrest.
"Here in the United States of America, police should not be bullying
and arresting reporters who are just doing their jobs. The local
authorities [in Ferguson], including police, have a responsibility to be
transparent and open." President Barack Obama was quoted as saying during the period of unrest.
"This [statement] come from the leader [Barack Obama] of the most
non-transparent administration I've ever seen would be laughable if it
weren't about the safety and security of not only cops, but the people
whom they protect and serve. I notice almost on a daily basis this administration stonewalls, lies and covers up more than any 20 police departments in the U.S.," alleges former police captain and security director Charlie Andropoulos.
Also, according to Andropoulos and other police officials, it's
curious how this latest news story ties into the Democratic Party's
pamphlets and messaging in Missouri and Georgia that are stoking up the
flames of discontent in minority neighborhoods. "They are trying to use a
police shooting as wedge issue in political races, and dividing us in
the name of uniting us," said the police veteran.
