Black Power A Done Deal
"As I write America waits, again, to see whether blacks will riot,
this time in Ferguson. Will they loot, burn, kill, and rape? The usual? The
police in Ferguson prepare to protect stores from looters, as rioters
seem to regard their insurrections as shopping opportunities. Will it
come, we wonder tensely? Will the destruction get out of hand, spread
to other cities?
It is curious that blacks, the least educated thirteen percent of the population, the least productive, most criminal, and most dependent on governmental charity, should dominate national politics. Yet they do. Virtually everything revolves around what blacks want, demand, do, or can’t do. Their power seems without limit.
Courses of instruction in the schools, academic rigor, codes of dress, rules regarding unceasing obscenity, all must be set to suit them, as must be examinations for promotion in fire departments, the military, and police forces. Blacks must be admitted to universities for which they are not remotely qualified, where departments of Black Studies must be established to please them. Corporate work forces, federal departments, and elite high-schools must be judged not on whether they perform their functions but on whether they have the right number of blacks.
Do laws requiring identification to vote threaten to end multiple voting? The laws must go. Do blacks not like Confederate flags? Adieu, flags. Does Huckleberry Finn go down the Mississippi with the Nigger Jim, or Conrad write The Nigger of the Narcissus? These must be banned or expurgated to please blacks who haven’t read them or, usually, heard of them. Do we want to prevent people coming from regions infested with Ebola from entering the United States? We cannot. It would offend blacks.
We must never, ever say or do anything that might upset them, as virtually everything does. It is positively astonishing. One expects the rich and smart to have disproportionate power. But America is dominated from the slums."

D.C. Attorney General to Appeal Concealed Carry Permits
What part of shall not be infringed is it that they do not understand?
How the hell is living in a high-crime neighborhood NOT a valid reason for a CCW permit?
I don't seem to recall anything in the Constitution or the BOR about needing permission from anyone to exercise my second amendment rights to keep and bear arms, nor do I recall anything about having to give some gooberment employee a reason before they "allow" me to exercise my right to keep and bear arms.
The government does NOT "give or grant" our rights to us-our rights are pre-existing,and have nothing whatsoever to do with only being "permitted" the right to carry a handgun for self-defense if and when the gooberment says we can carry a firearm to defend ourselves, our families, our property, and our homes.
These anti-gun leftist loons need some remedial education that does not take place in any of our state indoctrination camps...errrr...universities.
"D.C. is has been accepting applications for concealed handgun permits for about a week but that could soon end.
News4's
Mark Segraves is reporting D.C. Attorney General Irvin B. Nathan will
appeal a judge’s ruling requiring the city to issue concealed carry
permits. If successful, the District could take away any permits
originally granted.
The
Attorney General will file the appeal by the end of the year, but D.C.
will continue accepting applications until a decision is made.
Right
now, applicants must specifically show why they believe they need a
permit. Officials say living in a high-crime neighborhood is not a
sufficient reason. However, victims of domestic violence or death
threats are among those who could be granted permits."

FBI Most Wanted Fugitive Eric Frein Captured Alive
Oct 30, 2014, 6:42 PM ET
"Accused cop killer and one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives Eric Frein has been captured alive, sources told ABC News tonight.
Both a federal law enforcement source and a Pennsylvania law enforcement source confirmed that Frein in custody.
It has been "a very good day," the Pennsylvania law enforcement source said.
Frein had eluded authorities since Sept. 12, when he allegedly killed
one Pennsylvania state trooper and injured another during an ambush of
the Blooming Grove police barracks.
Police had conducted a manhunt for weeks in the surrounding woods."
After almost 2 months, and around 10 million dollars-the PSP,FBI,ATF,plus various other stated, local and fed agencies have finally caught the ONE guy they have been searching for.
If it had been you or me that was shot and killed the investigation would have ended about 6 1/2 weeks ago...
Restoring Rightful Liberty-With an Example of What Not to Do!
I’m fairly certain that everyone in the III%/Patriot community can agree that we need to restore Rightful Liberty.
I’m also pretty sure that everyone can agree that this will not be an easy task.
The problems that I see are that no one wants to work together. Too many of the small groups simply do not trust any “outsiders”,the same is true of a hell of a lot of individuals.
There has to be trust among the groups,we all must work together. We all need to do what we can in our city/town/township/village,we have to start local.
We will never get anywhere if there’s nothing but distrust,if no one is willing to work with others.
There are a lot of guys who provide training, and do so for a very reasonable cost.
Some of these guys are promoting train the trainer type courses-which is a hell of a good idea.
There is a huge, huge, ginormous problem with PT-or lack of PT.
It’s not just among the III/Patriot/Liberty movement-it’s all of America.
Discovery channel just aired a show about Militias-the show clearly demonstrates that there is a huge, enormous, ginormous problem with PT-these guys make the militia groups that are trained up to reasonable standards look bad. Besides the lack of PT,there’s huge lack of proper training that’s evident if you watch the show.
The video…
It’s obvious that these assclowns need some much, much better training. This bullshit being broadcast is only going to portray the militia groups that are squared away in a bad light-in a negative way-make the public perception be that all militia groups are a bunch of fat, clueless rednecks.
Here’s a good post on what’s wrong with the watchmen’s “militia” portrayed in the video…

“The “prepper/survivalist/patriot/III%” community has absolutely zero social or political import, because the public face of the community is a bunch of fat, lazy, self-important redneck fucks who are failures in modern society. Despite the guns and macho-blustering bravado, the community poses absolutely zero real threat to the mainstream status quo, and the mainstream status quo recognizes that. All “they” have to do is point at the idiots—the “crazy gun nuts” and the “whacky survivalists,” and the sheep giggle and join in the finger-pointing and mockery. That’s not going to change, until you begin to be able to convince people that you are not just a string hanging on the fringe.
Until that changes, nothing changes.
Until that changes, the entire “liberty” aspect of the prepper community is utterly pointless.”

How do we get back to Rightful Liberty?
"I post this on the forum to allow you to generate community and work
together to develop solutions to the problems posed by these Rightful
Liberty posts.
http://forum.maxvelocitytactical.com/forums/topic/rightful-liberty-your-action-plan/#post-10820
Rightful liberty is
unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us
by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the
law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it
violates the rights of the individual.” Thomas Jefferson
How do we get back to Rightful Liberty? Some readers have accused me
of intellectual vacillation and lack of action in this series on
Rightful Liberty. What action do you want from me? It’s all in the blog
articles. The first one is, after all, titled ‘Rightful Liberty: Stand up!‘ I can’t do it for you. And there you are – there is the real point: this is not a game for individuals."http://forum.maxvelocitytactical.com/forums/topic/rightful-liberty-your-action-plan/#post-10820
Ohio-More Than A Dozen Gun Bills Await Lawmakers After Election
Mike Weinman from the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police says law enforcement dislikes many of the proposed gun bills, beginning with an Ohio version of Stand Your Ground.
"You're going to have questions come up in your head when you're reading these bills so ask those questions," said Weinman. "What you don't want is lethal force being the first and only force being used and that's pretty much the fear in stand your ground laws."
Stand Your Ground is just one of 14 bills - at last count - that would expand access to guns in Ohio.
One bill would eliminate most requirements for carrying a concealed weapon, while another would allow guns in the classroom. A third would recognize concealed carry permits from other states.
"We shouldn't have the legislature in the state of Indiana determining who carries a gun in Ohio," said Weinman.
But Ken Hanson from the Buckeye Firearms Association says all of this worry is overblown.
"My goodness when we changed carry in the car, people were going to be twirling guns on their fingers," said Hanson. "Well we can carry guns in restaurants and now people will be drinking beers and shooting each other. None of it every comes true."
Hanson says despite objections from the Fraternal Order of Police, each gun bill will have its day at the statehouse.
"I've called it an embarrassment of riches. we have a lot of gun bills," said Hanson.

By Dr. Sanjay Gupta Ebola is a killer, but it is not very contagious and not a threat in the United States.
We now have a quadrupling down on the stoopid by the .gov controlled media...
Apparently Dr. Gupta was either bribed by the CDC,the Obama admin,Ebola czar Flounder,or he really is that stoopid.
While I'm not a Dr, I did get a passing grade in Middle school biology, and in college I got a passing grade in microbiology.
Anyone with an internet connection, common sense, and a half hour at most can refute Dr. Gupta's idiotic claims. Hell,my 5 year old granddaughter can tell you Ebola is a nasty virus and that our government should not allow people from the countries where Ebola outbreaks are ocurring to come to the U.S.
Either my granddaughter is super-smart-(of course she is-she's my granddaughter)- or Dr. Gupta is a tool and a moron.
How the f*ck can this asswipe who claims to be a Dr. state that "Ebola is a killer, but it is not very contagious, and not a threat in the United States"?
What. The. Fuck. What is the doc smokin, snortin or shootin ? Maybe all three? One for each mind altering drug?
"Ebola is a frightening disease, no question. It kills more than half the people it infects, and there is no cure. But here’s an important fact: Almost nobody in this country needs to be worried about it.
If you are not a health worker or, for some other reason, in direct physical contact with someone who has Ebola, you are not at risk of getting it. Here’s what we know:
While Ebola is deadly, it is not very contagious. The flu virus is carried through the air, but the Ebola virus is not. You have to be in physical contact with a sick person and get their blood or vomit or feces on your skin.
Even in areas of Africa where the outbreak is spreading out of control, each sick person infects only two others on average. That is called the R-nought value. It is a measure of how contagious a disease is. Compare it to measles, for example, which is airborne like the flu. The R-nought for measles is 18, meaning each sick person infects 18 others on average during an outbreak.
Of course, even an R-nought of two is serious if the virus is allowed to spread unchecked. One person infects two, who infect four, then eight, sixteen, etc.
That is what is happening in West Africa. In Liberia, Guinea and
Sierra Leone, the public health systems were not able to contain the
outbreak, so it has become an epidemic. But that could not happen in
this country, which has a robust public health system. Even if more
Ebola-infected people come here, we can be sure the virus will be
contained."
What a moron. What a lying scum sucking .gov bought and paid for piece of excrement.

Surprise! Controversial Patriot Act power now overwhelmingly used in drug investigations
One of the more controversial provisions of the Patriot Act was to
broaden the “sneak-and-peek” power for federal law enforcement
officials. The provision allows investigators to conduct searches
without informing the target of the search. We were assured at the time
that this was an essential law enforcement tool that would be used only
to protect the country from terrorism. Supporters argued that it was
critical that investigators be allowed to look into the lives and
finances of suspected terrorists without tipping off those terrorists to
the fact that they were under investigation.
Civil libertarian critics warned that the federal government already had this power for national security investigations. The Patriot Act provision was far too broad and would almost certainly become a common tactic in cases that have nothing to do with national security.

Obama White House did little to stop 'The Rise of ISIS,' says 'Frontline' documentary
"President
Obama’s former ambassador to Iraq says in a new interview that his
administration “did almost nothing” in response to intelligence warnings
earlier this year that Islamic State radicals were gaining ground in
Iraq and threatening the country’s stability.
“The
administration not only was warned by everybody back in January, it
actually announced that it was going to intensify support against ISIS
with the Iraqi armed forces. And it did almost nothing,” says James
Jeffrey, who served as U.S. ambassador to Iraq between 2010 and 2012, in
"Frontline's" "The Rise of ISIS," which airs on PBS Tuesday night (check local listings) and is previewed here exclusively on Yahoo News.
Jeffrey
is one of a number of ex-administration officials who appear in the
film and sharply criticize the decisions of the president they once
served. Former U.S. Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford and former Defense
Secretary Leon Panetta both take issue with Obama’s refusal to arm
moderate rebels in Syria who — it is now argued — could have acted as a
counterweight to the Islamic State (also called ISIS or ISIL).
“I think we made the wrong decision in not providing assistance to the rebels,” Panetta bluntly says at one point."

On the Coming Elections by David E. Petzal
My Fellow Bloggers and Gun Nuts:
In a few days we will have the opportunity to fight down our gag reflexes and cast our ballots for a slightly different set of untalented hicks and hacks than we voted for last time, under the laughable pretext that they will do what is right for the republic and, in the process, solve some of our problems.
Hell will freeze before this happens, but we must not be dismayed. Congress has always been the halfwit child of American government. Mark Twain said: "Suppose you were an idiot; suppose you were a Congressman. But I repeat myself." Congress is the only place, outside of a fraternity house, where acting like an ass is not only the norm, but praiseworthy.
Even so, it matters who gets elected. The prime example for gun owners is New York State's Governor Andrew Cuomo. Mister Cuomo is not gifted with an unusual wisdom or honesty, but he abounds with what Ed Zern called low animal cunning, and after the Sandy Hook shootings, he rammed an unworkable, unenforceable, and highly restrictive gun law through the state legislature literally overnight. Called the SAFE Act, this work of genius requires among other things that owners of "assault weapons" register them with the state police.
However, the state police refuse to say just how many ARs have been reported to them. This indicates that most gun owners have chosen to give Governor Cuomo the finger, so to speak, and risk the consequences. But there have not, to date, been any consequences, because many law officers refuse to enforce the thing, and Cuomo, probably having national political ambitions, is not about to start confiscating people's guns and putting them in prison for non-compliance. Not yet at least.
But there is the SAFE Act, on the books, waiting for someone to employ it and put the screws to Empire State shooters in a real and meaningful way. And there it will stay.
The only way to prevent this where you live is to check the NRA ratings on the candidates, which can be found here.
Cuomo earns an F. Elect people with a C or lower and you're asking for it.
I know that many of you would rather that I stayed away from politics, and I can't blame you; it is a detestable enterprise, populated by detestable people. But be reminded: Apolitical gun owners will wake up one day to find that while they are still apolitical, they are gun owners no more.
Vote.

"even though Al-Watan- the construction Co.)- only completed 50 percent of the contracted work, the State Department still paid the company $18.5 million - over 90 percent of the initial agreement."
Billions of dollars have been wasted in Afghanistan since the U.S. launched ambitious plans to rebuild the country in 2002, and American watchdog John Sopko has spent the past two years documenting American-led reconstruction failures caused by mismanagement or outright corruption on the part of Afghan officials.
But a new report from
Sopko, the special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction,
found that at least one incident of mismanagement -- the failed attempt
to renovate Pol-i-Charkhi prison, Afghanistan's largest correctional
facility -- came at the hands of two State Department employees charged
with overseeing the project. And in an unusual role reversal, it was an
Afghan national who actually had to fill their shoes after both
Americans were suspended from their posts for fraud and mismanagement.

Today's Ebola News...
Titanic sinking; Captain concerned.
KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) — Authorities are having trouble figuring out how many more people are getting Ebola in Liberia and Sierra Leone and where the hot spots are in those countries, harming efforts to get control of the raging, deadly outbreak, said Anthony Banbury, the U.N.'s top Ebola official in West Africa said Tuesday. "The challenge is good information, because information helps tell us where the disease is, how it's spreading and where we need to target our resources," Banbury said by phone from the Ghanaian capital of Accra, where the U.N. Mission for Ebola Emergency Response, or UNMEER, is based. Health experts say the key to stopping Ebola is breaking the chain of transmission by tracing and isolating those who have had contact with Ebola patients or victims. Health care workers can't do that if they don't know where new cases are emerging.http://raconteurreport.blogspot.com/2014/10/titanic-sinking-captain-concerned.html
Kids, Don't Try This At Home!
{h/t to Doc Grouch for the source material for this one.}
NEJM has just published a clinical case study of the course of treatment provided to a man sent to Germany with fulminant Ebola virus infection.
1) It's exhaustive, and fascinating.
2) If you're any medical clinician interested, or likely to see/treat Ebola in any context, go there now and read it.
3) If you're non-medical but a quick study, it's still worthwhile.
4) If you're not either, it will be worse than trying to follow Chinese opera.
I have gotten, and still see on the Internet (I see those links to my site, and I visit them from time to time, so I see you people out there!) folks who still cling to the doomed fantasy that they're going to stock up on supplies, and care for family/friends/fellow tribesmen, out of love, humanity, or simply pigheaded ignorance of the futility of the gesture. Allow me to lovingly smash that foolish dumbshittery to bitsy pieces with my 18# surgical steel sledgehammer of reality, just one more time. Remember, I yell because I care.

A nurse who
treated Ebola patients in West Africa before being briefly and
controversially quarantined in New Jersey could be the focus of a new
battle over state health policy as she returns to her home state of
Maine.
Princess MiMi Crybaby About To Get Second Spanking
Word
to your mother, MiMi: Maine isn't Joisy. That governor doesn't sound
like you're getting his lunch money, and is about to jump on your stupid
ass with both feet. And this time, it sounds like they won't send a
spokeshole, they'll send armed deputies, and your ass will be nailed
inside the damn house.
STFU and take your medicine, or your next quarantine may well be the new isolation bed in the county lockup.
State nursing licensure boards tend to view those sorts of legal entanglements as the sort of thing that has a direct bearing on your ongoing fitness and suitably for "the continued practice of nursing", in a professionally influential way.
Dumbass.

New report details the disastrous municipal court system in St. Louis County
This type of shit goes on in every municipal court in the U.S.
The obscure laws, codes, and regs enforced by the local gestapo and "justice" systems are nothing but legal extortion of those who can least afford it.
The system weighs most heavily on the poor, who are less likely to have legal representation. Those without attorneys are more likely to be swept into the cycle of accumulating fines and arrest warrants. And of course, those fines and court costs amount to a much higher proportion of a poor person’s income. Compounding all of this, most municipalities in the county derive most of their revenue from a sales tax. Poorer towns are less likely to generate revenue from a sales tax. That makes them more reliant on the municipal courts for revenue."
If you do the research in your state-you will find similar results-all the municipal courts are is a means to extort $$$ from local residents. Police dept's use the courts as a funding source-cities use the courts as a funding source because they can not extort enough $$$ in property, income, or sales taxes.
"In 2013, the municipal courts of St. Louis City and County collected $61,152,087 in fines and fees. During that same time, the combined total of court fines and fees collected by Missouri municipal courts was $132,032,351.63. This means that the municipal courts in the St. Louis region accounted for 46% of all fines and fees collected statewide, despite being home to only 22% of Missourians."

Rightful Liberty: Your Action Plan- by Max Velocity
What's YOUR plan?
What are YOU doing to restore rightful liberty?
"Rightful liberty is
unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us
by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the
law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it
violates the rights of the individual.” Thomas Jefferson
"How do we get back to Rightful Liberty? Some readers have accused me
of intellectual vacillation and lack of action in this series on
Rightful Liberty. What action do you want from me? It’s all in the blog
articles. The first one is, after all, titled ‘Rightful Liberty: Stand up!‘ I can’t do it for you. And there you are – there is the real point: this is not a game for individuals. Those who I term ‘Paranoid Radical Individualists’ (PRIs) need to stop reading now. If you think that any sort of association with other freemen is collectivism, crawl back into your log cabin and STFU. Anyone who has ever done anything useful, whether working on a job site or tactical training, knows that there needs to be teamwork, association, and of course organization. Rightful Liberty cannot be attained by numerous overweight middle aged men sitting at their (your?) computer screens, bickering. Sadly, it is those middle aged men who make up the main demographic of those who have the potential to achieve Rightful Liberty. That situation needs to be remedied.
And that is what the leviathan counts on. Feeding you crap, and making sure you don’t do any exercise (‘lifestyle’) to make you weak, fat and soft. So you whine away on the internet, on FaceBook, and you achieve nothing. And you can’t organize because firstly you don’t trust anyone else (the dreaded ‘OPSEC’) and secondly you don’t have team, you don’t have community. So all we have is a bunch of isolated ‘preppers’ many of whom are actual nut jobs, with no potential to do anything. Except try and hide under a rock when the collapse happens. Well, the collapse may not happen for 10 or 20 years, but meanwhile leviathan has taken away your freedom and continues to make you slaves.
This post isn’t going to be pretty. If the cap fits, wear it. Hurt feelings reports will be ignored. Frankly, I’m sick of the whining and bickering. How about getting on message and keeping it simple? Rightful Liberty. That’s all it needs to be at this stage. Perhaps combine it with the Rationalist/Realist message? After all, you are supposed to be Americans! Stop. Get a Grip. Do PT. Train. Become a force to be reckoned with."

Report - Children of the Caliphate
The Islamic State is raising an army of child soldiers, and the West could be fighting them for generations to come.
They stand in the front row at public beheadings and crucifixions held in Raqqa, the Islamic State's stronghold in Syria. They're used for blood transfusions when Islamic State fighters are injured. They are paid to inform on people who are disloyal or speak out against the Islamic State. They are trained to become suicide bombers. They are children as young as 6 years old, and they are being transformed into the Islamic State's soldiers of the future.
The Islamic State has put in place a far-reaching and well-organized system for recruiting children, indoctrinating them with the group's extremist beliefs, and then teaching them rudimentary fighting skills. The militants are preparing for a long war against the West, and hope the young warriors being trained today will still be fighting years from now."[The Islamic State] deliberately deny education to the people who are in the territory under their control, and not only that, they brainwash them," said Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, who's tasked with thinking about future threats and planning for the Army's future. "They engage in child abuse on an industrial scale. They brutalize and systematically dehumanize the young populations. This is going to make this a multigenerational problem."
On the front lines of Iraq and Syria, the boys who join or are abducted by the Islamic State are sent to various religious and military training camps, depending on their age. At the camps, they are taught everything from the Islamic State's interpretation of sharia law to how to handle a gun. They are even trained in how to behead another human and given dolls on which to practice

More Idiocy about nurse waaaaaaaahhh-they put me in isolation...
The egotistical, self centered whiny acts like a 4 year old twit of a nurse who complained about being placed in isolation when she informed customs workers she was returning from W. Africa now claims "her civil rights" were violated, and is suing everyone who was mean to her.
YOUR rights? What about MY rights?
Shes a freakin' nurse for God's sake-she knows damn well how deadly Ebola is,and that people who have used ALL the correct PPE have STILL GOT EBOLA.
She knows damn well that protocol is isolation and monitoring for fever for at least 21 days.
She's whining about HER rights?
Fuck her rights-she has NO RIGHTS when coming here from the Ebola hot zone-NONE-she gets the exact same treatment anyone coming from the hot zone gets-being a nurse does NOT grant special rights. She has no right to infect others with Ebola-no right whatsoever.
Maybe she will get a judge that's not a Obamazombie,or other far left loon, one who actually got passing grades in middle school biology class who knows what the dangers of whiny twit transmitting the virus to others are
Whiny twit nurse and Ebola nurse #2 who possibly infected NE Ohio are self-centered the whole world revolves around me types who need to have pointed out to them that that is exactly what their behavior has shown the world they are...because they are both too self-absorbed to see that one for themselves.
From the leader of the land of rainbows and unicorns...
"Anyone who has heard the nurse explain her situation in her proud, passionate, intelligent voice, knows that what happened to her is inappropriate," said de Blasio.
The Obama admin chimed in with similar fertilizer.
More from whiny twit...

patients in hard-hit Sierra Leone before her return to the United
States, has been isolated outside the main hospital building.
She
has only been allowed to wear paper scrubs, and the tent is equipped
with just a hospital bed, a non-flush chemical toilet and no shower."
"I feel like my basic human
rights have been violated," she told CNN's "State of the Union" show,
insisting she was not contagious because she has shown no symptoms and
tested negative for the disease.
"To put me in prison... is just inhumane."

Prison? She thinks that's what prison is like?!
Maybe she should spend a few months in prison for filing such an idiotic lawsuit-then she would have something to whine about...

Six Degrees Of Ebola - For The Geographically Challenged

Six Degrees Of Ebola - For The Geographically Challenged
As one hilarious wisecracker posted elsewhere yesterday when I added that Mali had gotten on the Ebola Scoreboard, "Oh God! Not Mali!!! {runs to Wikipedia}
Which is fair, funny in a 7000-miles-from-me way, and a reasonable observation.
Fair enough; not everyone liked maps since they were little kids.
The problem is this:
When Ebola was (more-or-less) contained in one country, it was "just another small potatoes Ebola outbreak" in equatorial Africa. Quick flare, bodies, and poof! it's over.
But instead, it travelled by bus and taxi to the densely populated slums of the capitol, and crossed two (and later three, out of six) of the neighboring borders. And then proceeded to those densely crowded capitol's slums, and we've been off to the races trying to catch it - and abysmally failing - every day since then. That's precisely why it's now A Big Thing.
And now it's gotten to Mali (pop. 16M+). Nearly as many people in one country as there are in the other three combine. Carried there by a two-year-old, and her loving idiot grandmother, on public busses, straight to the capitol of Mali (Bamako, pop. 1.8M), and its teeming slums.
Clever people will notice a pattern.
(And arguably, most of Africa is a teeming slum.)
And with Mali doubling down on teh Stoopid, it bears noting that it shares borders with four additional countries not previously at risk, and the president of that landlocked nation has officially announced that they won't be closing their borders at all.
In more obvious terms, this is like deciding, in the midst of a forest gloriously aflame, to build your house out of gasoline cans, and pointing fireworks at your neighbors' houses as well.
And then storing kegs of gunpowder inside that house.
We aren't losing to Ebola because we don't know how to stop an epidemic.
We're losing because no one is willing to do it.
It's too hard.
Too politically unpopular.
Too inhumane to those trapped in the Hot Zone.
Simply too damned mean.
And the "leaders" around the world, top to bottom, are simply too craven and too stupid to take the most obvious and basic epidemiologic steps to contain the spread.
So instead, we're going to kill the entire world. With kindness.
And wish on a unicorn, and think of butterflies and puppies, while we pray for miracles.
What's desperately and unpalatably called for is some tough love.
But everyone involved is too squeamish to come out and do what necessity demands, and instead, they're all diddling themselves, and will continue to do so, until nothing, not even the most draconian measures, will then avail.
And for the perennial pollyanas, who're sure that the outbreak in Mali won't spread, and the case in NYC won't spread: That's what they said when it was just in Guinea. And when it was just in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. And when it was just in Dallas.
Nota bene, dumbasses, that it's come to the U.S. twice already, skipping over 87 intermediate stops, because international jet travel, and clever government inattention, incompetence, hubris, and childish magical thinking.
It's a free country: wait for it to personally bite you in the ass at your own peril.
I promise to laugh at your plight from afar, come the day.
I say yet again:
Y.O.Y.O. - You're On Your Own.
Make appropriate personal preparations, while you yet have the time and wherewithal.
When things go to shit everywhere, as they continue to do like a Chinese water torture, drip by drop, that option will not exist for you, or for anyone else.

Anti-NRA Ebola Theme Infects Media, Spreads Rapidly
In the weeks since we last reported
on media attempts to tie NRA to the Ebola crisis because of our
opposition to the nomination of Dr. Vivek Murthy as surgeon general, the
anti-gun echo chamber has continued to promote this absurd line of
argument. Absent most of the coverage is a forthright discussion of
NRA’s legitimate concerns with the nominee, or any evidence that Murthy
himself has a singular ability to effectively handle the nation’s Ebola
response.
NRA opposes Dr. Murthy’s nomination for the very reason that he has a history of exploiting his status as a medical practitioner to advance a purely political agenda of extreme and unproven gun control measures. In January 2013, Dr. Murthy signed two letters sent from his organization Doctors for America (formerly Doctors for Obama) to Vice President Joe Biden and Congress, advocating for stringent gun controls. The letter to Congress advocated for a ban on popular semi-autos and their ammunition, limits on ammunition purchases, firearm owner licensing, and a mandatory waiting period of at least 48 hours. The letter also expressed a desire to leverage the resources of the Centers for Disease Control to provide data for gun control efforts. Such proposals are of obvious import to gun owners. Moreover, as surgeon general, Dr. Murthy would have the ideal platform to direct the nation’s public health apparatus towards redefining firearms ownership as a disease, a tactic that Congress has curbed with funding limits since the 1990s, but one President Obama hopes to reinvigorate.

Douchenozzle Urban prosecutors form group to demand ‘gun control’
“A new group called Prosecutors Against Gun Violence has formed to find solutions to gun violence in the U.S.,” NPR reported Saturday,
sharing an interview with the tax-funded public employees behind the
effort. “NPR's Arun Rath speaks with attorneys and co-chairs Cyrus Vance
Jr. and Mike Feuer.”
“This fall marks the launch of Prosecutors Against Gun Violence, an independent, non-partisan coalition working toward prosecutorial and policy solutions to the national public emergency of gun violence,” the group says about itself before announcing a Tuesday and Wednesday “summit” in Atlanta. “Our growing coalition includes 23 prosecutors of varied political backgrounds, representing diverse jurisdictions throughout the United States.
“We can augment the enforcement of existing federal law,” the group asserts, revealing a game plan framework. “We can export state and local rules that are working to other states and localities.
“Prosecutors, by and large, are not ideologues,” PAGV insists. “We protect and we serve.”
That’s demonstrably false as far as the group’s front men are concerned. Feuer is a veteran citizen disarmament zealot, as documented for years on The War on Guns blog. For his part, Vance is an award-winning anti-gunner. And rather than "find[ing] solutions to gun violence," all the group's efforts will do is give more advantages to criminal predators at the expense of those PAGV claims it works for.
The main event at the gathering in Atlanta was Mark Kelly, husband of Gabby Giffords and co-founder of a national “gun control” group. Kelly’s discussion, per the Associated Press, focused not on prosecuting violent criminals, but rather, on “the need ... to counter the powerful gun lobby.”

Two videos demonstrate the immense power of prosecutors
The first is from Anthony Fischer at Reason.tv. It includes just about
every drug war excess imaginable, including a militarized police raid
for a nonviolent crime, vaguely written drug laws, prosecutorial
misconduct, the coercive use of bond, abuse of conspiracy charges, abuse
of the plea bargain and the intimidation of media and witnesses to duck
transparency.
The second video is from the conservative criminal justice reform group Right on Crime. It’s about prosecutorial discretion and the criminalization of environmental law. The couple in the video were forbidden from building on a parcel of land they had purchased when, after they had purchased it, it was designated a “wetland,” apparently because a backed-up drainage system had caused some standing water. In addition to being prohibited from building the home they had planned, they were then hit with felony charges.

Alleged White House Fence Jumper Accused of Kicking Dog
"Adesanya, 23, of Bel Air, Maryland, was then taken to a nearby hospital,
said Donovan. Adesanya was later charged with two counts of felony
assault on a police officer (K-9), four counts of resisting/unlawful
entry, a misdemeanor, and one count of making threats, also a felony."

Kicking a dog that is trying to bite your nuts off is now "assault on a police officer"-felony assault at that.
Just as drug sniffing dogs-which can be trained to "alert" to the presence of drugs on command can not swear oths,or affirm that drugs are in the car or home-a freakin dog can not be a police officer.

Why Lawyers are Lower than a Snakes Belly…
(Reuters) – An Alabama man who sued over being hit and kicked by
police after leading them on a high-speed chase will get $1,000 in a
settlement with the city of Birmingham, while his attorneys will take in
$459,000, officials said Wednesday.
The incident gained public attention with the release of a 2008 video of police officers punching and kicking Anthony Warren as he lay on the ground after leading them on a roughly 20-minute high-speed chase.
Warren is serving a 20-year sentence for attempted murder stemming from his running over a police officer during the chase, in which he also hit a school bus and a patrol car before crashing and being ejected from his vehicle.

Rut Activity Increasing in NE Ohio
I'm seeing scrape lines and tons of new rubs, found a bunch of new scrape lines that weren't there yesterday.
Lots of new rubs near my fake scrape lines too-the technique works-it's not too late to make one.
All you have to do is take a small rake,or one of the rakes that are used in gardens-they're about 12" long and have 3 or 4 tines. I carry one in my hunting pack, just in case I see another place to make a few new scrapes.
Clear an area about 18"-2' x3-4' make it sort of an oval shape-the important things are to clear away all debris so you have bare ground, and be sure there's a branch at about deer height directly over your fake scrape, bucks will reach up and lick the branch, plus rub their foreheads on it-the overhanging branch has to be there-if it's not, find a new place for your fake scrape. If you are making a scrape line, having one or two in the line w/o the branch won't hurt-I've seen scrape lines made by deer that have one here and there with no licking branch.
Once your scrapes are made, either use some active scrape scent, dominant buck scent-or just piss in the scrapes yourself-piss is piss-it's from a "buck" and has testosterone in it .
Now's the time to rattle and use a grunt tube. Use estrous doe bleats once in a while,it's just about the time around here for the first does to come into estrous-it's close-a week or so will be the peak rut week around here.
Starting next week,on Mon.,use grunt tubes and doe bleats more than rattling. Don't stop rattling-bucks still fight during the rut-but all the local bucks have the fighting done, and the dominant buck decided by now-but since some bucks travel out of their home range during the rut-it's still worth rattling, and rattling hard, not the sounds of sparring-the sound of full out combat, crashing antlers and loud rattling.
Use the doe bleat often next week, and the grunt tube.
I'll start with at least a full minute of loud antler crashing rattling, wait 15 minutes, hit the grunt tube a few times, wait another 15 minutes, then hit the bleat can a half-dozen times.
Be careful about moving, sit as still as you can-you have to move to rattle, and use the bleat can and grunt tube-just try to keep your movements hidden as much as possible.
I hunt from a ground blind-nothing fancy-just some camo burlap with a 12"x12" window cut in it to shoot through.
That hides my movements when rattling and using the bleat can and grunt tube.
Pay attention to the woods-sometimes a buck will hear the rattling and come to check it out,but he will hang back, and approach real slow and quiet-watch for movement-if you spot a buck moving towards you,hit the doe bleat and see what his reaction is-it it gets his attention, wait a couple minutes, then hit the grunt tube-a lot of times, that will bring him in fast, because he thinks there's a hot doe,and another buck trying to breed her.
The 2 best weeks for fall deer hunting are next week, and the week after.
Don't forget-28 days after you see the peak of the rut in your area-there's a second rut-then 28 days later-there's a third.
Hit the woods as much as you can the next two weeks-it's your best chance at a big buck.

Federal judge: Prosecutors’ attempt to secretly seize $13 million was ‘constitutionally abhorrent’
From Balko...
For your “I can’t believe this stuff happens in America” files:
Calling their conduct “constitutionally abhorrent,” a federal judge recently chided government prosecutors for working in secret to keep millions of dollars in cash and assets seized from a Las Vegas gambler and his family in a decadelong bookmaking investigation.
In his 31-page opinion, U.S. Magistrate Judge Cam Ferenbach cast light on the little-known court process that allowed the government to file civil forfeiture actions against Glen Cobb, his 82-year-old parents and his stepdaughter under “super seal” with no notice to anyone — not even the family it targeted.
Government documents filed under super seal, a procedure overseen by the federal clerk’s office, are stored in the court’s vault and not loaded into the electronic case management system. The documents remain secret from the public and opposing parties.
Ferenbach said prosecutors sought a level of secrecy normally reserved for cases that threaten public safety or national security.
“This is unacceptable,” Ferenbach wrote in court papers only recently made public. “Relying on various sealed and super-sealed filings, the government asks the court to rule against private citizens, allow the deprivation of their property and deny them a process to redress possible violations of their constitutional rights through a secret government action that provides no notice or opportunity to be heard.
“Saying that this would offend the Constitution is an understatement. It is constitutionally abhorrent.”

Myths Persist on Treating Snakebites in Wilderness/SHTF Situations
"The current medical research shows that attempting to use a suction
device or pump device found in snakebite kits may do nothing more than
help spread the venom.
Some of the wilderness/backcountry survival websites still tell you to use the suction cups,or pumps like the one made by Sawyer-this is no longer the recommended treatment for poisonous snake bites !
Protocols for snakebite treatment have changed as more research is done on treating poisonous snake bites, the newest treatment recommendations are described in the following…"

The Fate of Ohio Hangs in the Balance
Sharon Kennedy and Judy French do not have name recognition,it's up to YOU to get the word out that these two are solid pro-gun judges.
Sharon Kennedy and Judi French
do not have great name recognition. They interpret the law instead of
"making law from the bench" and most people just don't follow court
rulings, let alone the justices. So IT IS UP TO YOU to help your friends and family, neighbors and co-workers understand the importance of voting for Kennedy and French.

Sharon Kennedy is up for election to the Ohio supreme court, along with Judy French...- See more at: http://www.buckeyefirearms.org/fate-ohio-hangs-balance#sthash.ZFKLCo2S.dp
Ohio Supreme Court Justices Sharon Kennedy and Judi French are up for election.
Two years ago, we lost a pro-gun justice. With the looming court
battles and Governor Kasich's expected run-away victory, the anti-gun
groups are looking at other races they can steal. Supreme Court races
are at the top of their wish list.
Ohio's Supreme Court Justices are elected to six year terms. So if an anti-gun candidate wins next month, we are stuck with that person for at least six years, long enough to issue multiple damaging rulings. These are critical races for all Ohio gun owners.
Soon after the election, we will be working with the legislature to pass improvements to Ohio law. There is already media attention on the many pending bills and there is sure to be more as the anti-self-defense zealots scream their irrational comments about how "dangerous" personal responsibility is. They are wrong now, as they always are, but that never stops them.
Meanwhile we have the city of Cleveland saber rattling about passing anti-freedom laws, again blaming guns and gun owners for criminal conduct.

From the Land of Those With Windex Flavored Tongues…
The guy clearly rode the short bus full of window lickers to school-hence the title of the post.
A 33-year-old man pulled into his St. Mark Avenue driveway about 2 a.m. Thursday. A 32-year-old man, later identified as Rayshawn Scott, walked briskly up to his window with his hands behind his back.
“What’s up now!” Scott said, swinging his hands around to reveal an eight-and-a-half inch butcher knife, according to the report.
As Scott moved the knife toward the driver’s face, the driver reached into his waistband as if he was pulling out a gun, hoping to scare the man off, according to police.

Sowell-Predatory Journalism-Slams ill Concieved Policies of the Left
"Editorial demagoguery against "predatory" lending might well be called
predatory journalism -- taking advantage of other people's ignorance of
economics to score ideological points, and promote still more expansion
of government powers that limit the options of poor people especially,
who have few options already."

Two From Aesop-The Only One On The Interwebz Who's Been Posting Factual Info on Ebola
Here's Your Front Line Of Defense
"So now, the most respected medical journal in the UK has published the projection that more will certainly come. We got Duncan when there were 6000 Ebola patients in total. WHO expects that soon we'll be looking at 10,000 a week. You decide what that's going to do about whether or not people will try to get out.
The Lancet study takes into account international flight restrictions that were in place to the three countries at the Ebola epicenter as of Sept. 1. Those restrictions led to a 51% drop in passengers for Guinea, 66% for Liberia and 85% for Sierra Leone.
After accounting for that level of decreased travel, the authors’ model projects that 2.8 passengers infected with Ebola would depart the three countries via commercial flights, on average, every month.
The projection by Dr. Khan and his colleagues suggests that about two-thirds of these travelers are expected to fly to low/ lower-middle income countries. This could pose a problem because poorer countries have fewer resources to identify and track infected people.
The risk to European countries or the U.S. is considerably less. The research concludes that for every case exported to the U.S., there will be about eight cases exported to the U.K. and France combined.Three Duncans a month, who could (and will) land in Cairo, Kinshasa, London, Brussels, Paris, Rome...and the US.
Just ducky!
But don't worry, our government officials know how important it is to protect us, which is why we're depending on the truthfulness of passengers, and the dedication and literacy of Third World middle school dropouts to keep the next Duncan off of your commuter train, out of the ER you take your kid to, and out of that ghetto apartment with 20-50 sketchy folks who may not run straight to the doctor when they get a fever, headache, or tummy ache.
So those guys are ON THAT CASE!:"

No Longer Operative
"From the old Clinton admin line, when the cover stories were changing hourly, today's title.
And now, health care workers learn what pilots have long known:
Safety rules are written in blood, usually by people who were following the OLD safety rules.
Or, as the philosophical among us have put it:
"The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."
